ABOUT SELFPORTRAYING (TWO)

After I published ::ABOUT SELF PORTRAYING (ONE)::, I got answers from some artist friends (is that correctly said?). I found them must enriching, for they show their very particular points of view, and, from the perspective of the previous reading of my article, they give interesting and very different angles to the questions I raise (or pretend to). The contact with this different perspectives either ilustrates, or makes more complex the idea I pretend to search for in my text, and since the experience helped me, I thought It might be interesting to present it here.

According to my theories about copy and piracy, I took the liberty to include this answers in my blog without any permission of the authors, and I added a link to the original source for the interested readers. They are placed below this lines in strict "orther of appearance" on my facebook profile. Two of them are photos (self portraits, of course), and one is a facebook post shearing a personal process, and the point of intersection of it and my text.

::Scheiße::

Scheiße!! I wanted to go to bed, but then I read your text and for instance, tonight I was waiting for the bus to come, looking at a poster from Museum Leopold -a self portrait of Schiele, by the way- and started to think about the self portrait of Tamara de Lempicka that I saw like a month ago in Bellas Artes, that made me think "if I would make a self portrait, how the hell I´d do it... I´d love it to be so strong and so fantastic and misterious and charming and so "ahead in the future" as this portrait of this amazing paintress!

And... shit! And then thinking about publishing something I wrote today while sitting in a coffee shop and thought, no, that´s not the self that I want to publish on my blog... but why not, it´s not that also me?, eventhough it might be painful or shameful?... And then thought everything is about honesty, and in any case all these pieces comprise myself... oh! now I read you, and have to sit and read again and write and may be "publish" myself as I am...

Thanks!

I took a lot of time to publish this after the coments, bacause I am still thinking and re thinking the ideas, trying to make something meaningful (at least, for me).
Thank you all very much for taking interest in my thoughts, and thank you for shearing with me your work and processes. It is very useful for all (I hope), and quite vivifying for me.
Shall write back soon.
